New Release and Quiet Moments

SL can be one wacky, crazy, exciting, and even a frustrating place. But there are times when I find it to be quiet, good for reflection, and inspirational. When you find a place that is beautiful and you can get away from everyone and wander, it isn't so bad. I found just such a place at Mirromere. It is an amazing place you can walk around and see some realistic creations. So much detail and thought was put into making this scenic place. And if you have a horse, this is the perfect place to go for a ride as well.

After my recent distractions, this weekend I am releasing the Addiction Cherokee Dohiyi (Peace) Set. Dohiyi means peace in Cherokee and that was my mood as I walked around Mirrormere. I absolutely love this jewelry set made of silver, which has oxidized, and turquoise, and it includes a necklace, bracelet for right and left wrist and matching earrings. The necklace comes in a version to attach to your spine and one for your chest so it can easily be worn with prim collars. And the bracelet and necklaces also have an additional set that is scripted for easy resizing if necessary. All scripts can be deleted once you find the perfect size for your avatar. Even though you can revert back to the original settings, I suggest you make a copy before resizing.

So Easily Distracted

Sometimes I can be like a happy little squirrel holding a nut. But then I see something shiny out the corner of my eye and I am gone! Dropping the nut and going after the sparkly thing. **smh** My latest "shiny thing" is the Armidi sale at the Warehouse. But lets get real. A good sale can distract anyone. I can always work later. :-)

I finally got in and was able to fight my way through the lag. But that was expected. I had to wait quite a bit for things to rez and that sucks. Because when you are ready to empty your wallet you want to get started right away. Things started to appear and the speed shopping was on! Speed shopping is so easy for me in SL and RL. If I see something and my first thought is "yes!" then I buy it. If my first thought is "maybe" then I move on. I can always go back for a "maybe" later if I change my mind. So with my shopping "plan" in place I was off and running. I have been an Armidi customer was way back so I was a bit surprised how many items I picked up. (Shhhh...don't tell the hubby. We'll keep this our little secret.) But there was this one dress that I was shocked I didn't already own in any color....Armidi - {Gisaci} Silk Organza Dress. I had to have the fuschia version. Just had to have it! This dress went so well with my recently released Addiction Rejoice set in royal amethyst.

This dress has such a retro look to me that I went all out, hair, makeup, and shoes. Once I was done getting ready I started thinking having a retro room at our home might be a nice change too. And where might a girl go for retro furnishings? Artilleri Home of course. I so love the items there. I was drooling over the kitchen. Maybe it was the Elvis picture on the refrig. Nah! I just couldn't figure out a way to justify having a second kitchen in our home to the hubby. But I can talk him into an enterainment room. Oh yeah!

Summer in Paris with My Thoughts

Yesterday was a day for thinking about the people in my life. Some that are near and I get to share time with. Some that I haven't communicated with in a long time. Some that are gone but I will see at another time in my life. And some that are far from me but in my thoughts everyday.

You have all brought something wonderful to my life and I appreciate and love you each in a special way.

I hope you can take a moment to think about those that have crossed your path and to smile.

While playing tourist in Paris I wore this lovely dress from Tee*fy and matched it up with the Addiction Mystic Aqua Marine and Moonstone set. It seem like the perfect girl-on-the-go in such a romantic place.

Not So Tough After All

I have been in "cute" mode lately. So most of my outfit choices have been adorable....so the hubby says. But for some reason that all changed today and I am in a bad-ass/rocker girl/ready-to-start-some-trouble mode. **giggles**

I reached in my SL closet and put a decent outfit together. And when I was looking for just the right jewelry items I got a surprise. There it was. A full jewelry set I made....and forgot to release. **palm to forehead** So for the first time to the public, please allow me to introduce the Addiction Scintillating Amethyst Necklace and Earring Set!!!

After getting ready I was off to explore the grid and start some mayhem. And I found the perfect place....The Innsmouth sim. There was just one problem. This place scared the crap out of me! LOL It is a very dark, lonely, and creepy place that was inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "The Shadows Over Innsmouth" and "The Colour Out of Space". Here is a snippet from their welcome note..."You'll be exploring a coastal town in Massachusetts, 1930. The sim is meant to be beautiful and mysterious and a bit lonely." Man! They were not kidding! Innsmouth is all of those things. I totally wished I had dragged a few friends with me. A bunch of much slower friends. Because I don't have to be the fastest person. Just faster than the slowest one. hahaha

You should really go see this place. It is very well put together...just take a slow friend with you. **giggles**

It Is About Time!

I have had this blog account for some time now and done nothing with it. I finally decided to get off my tush and get moving. Instead of just having pictures of my jewelry and nothing more I have decided to have a little bit more fun.

Since I am truly not a blogger and you will see later, not a photographer, I will make short blogs about my feelings of the moment, crazy thoughts, and interesting finds while roaming the SL grid. And since I do wear my jewelry everyday with every outfit, I'll give you all the info on what I am wearing and where I got it from.

I hope you will find my blog interesting, hopefully funny at times, and informative.

So here we go with the first one.....

Where I live in my part of the world in RL we have been dealing with a brutal heatwave. People, I am telling you it sucks! You can't do anything outside for very long or you will melt. Possibly burst into flames! So I am keeping my tush inside and sucking up the air conditioning as much as possible. I'll get my outdoor fun in SL where temperature means nothing.

Since I was wearing an adorable tennis outfit from Last Call that also looked like a good sailing outfit to me, I thought I would checked out a scenic pier on the waterfront in New York. I came across this cool ship and thought "photo op"! The perfect jewelry for this outfit is the Addiction Princess Garnet Set. It is a simple yet elegant necklace and matching earrings set.
